Trying to centre homepage slider and add text block

Hi,

I am trying to centre the image slider on the homepage rather than having it against the left hand side.

I can't see how to do this.

Also, is there any way to add a text box above the image slider.

I m using the default bootstrap theme.

I got another slider module which allows me to centre the slideshow.. but still would like to know how to add a body of text to the homepage and a product category page
