Product list - remove TOP next/previous, compare, show all buttons?

In the product list/grid, how do I remove the top next/previous, page numbers, compare, and show all buttons, and only keep them in the bottom of the list?

Say prestashop version and theme you have in use.

It's v. 1.6.1.6, and the theme is customised default theme from PS Theme Maker.

If your customization doesn't change all, usually the theme files have some code like posted below. And note they have the same or very similar code two times in. The first for the bottom, the second section for the footer. Remove the ones which occur first.

 

As an example for category.tpl
