order is created even if payment if failed

Hello 

 

I have an issue where the order is created even though the payment is not completed (via Visa/Master etc) the order email says Payment Failed. Why is order generating?

 

My concern is I want to integrate a software download when payment is successful or software license when payment is successful but if the order is created that means that user has or will pay, I don't want this to happen.

Please tell me how I can avoid order generation on failed payment

Your post misses all important information like prestashop version or payment module used.

 

In terms of paypal it's not uncommon that an order is created, even when the payment fails. The order is then assigned the payment failed status. Hence, further processing should shop and no email should be set to a customer with the exception of a payment failed notification.
