Images not uploading correctly from an iPad

Hoping someone might be able to help me. I created a PS store for my [spam-filter] about 18 months ago and have been using it successfully, currently on ver 1.6.1.10.

 

My [spam-filter] primarily uses an iPad. When it comes to uploading images for products, they upload perfectly from my any Wintel device we have, but when she uploads images from her iPad, the image upload fails with no message (red bar with ! in a triangle) and the image shows as a large ?.

 

Found plenty of threads about images displaying ? - either folder permissions or the file not uploading, but not found anything matching this problem.

 

So far on the iPad:

 

- tried from safari.

- installed Chrome and tried using that.

- tried uploading images from the iPad photo library (with both safari & chrome)

- tried uploading images from OneDrive (with both safari & chrome)

 

Any thoughts?
