What do I do now? Admin cannot login into BO PS v1.6.1.6

I have been using PS1.6.1.6 for a few days now.

 

I have come to re login and I get an error "There is one error. 1 - The Employee does not exist, or the password provided is incorrect."

 

Then when i try to request a new password I get message "There is one error. 1 An error occurred while attempting to change your password."

 

I have tried creating new accounts and the same happens with the new ones, but the new entries are added to the 'customer' database. So I suspect the login php files are corrupt or maybe 'customer' database is corrupt.

 

Any ideas as to how I get into the BO.

I think its sorted out now.

I created a fictitious new customer, went into database via phpmyadmin. Copied the fictitious persons 'passwd' from 'ps-customer' and pasted it my admin entry of database, into 'passwd' of 'employee'.

 

This seems to have cleared all of the login problems.

 

But why the password for admin was corrupted I do not know.
