Can anyone explain this please? I have tried everything to remove it, but aftrer upgrading to 1.6.1.5 I can't edit some (but not all) of my products because when I try to save the edited product I get this message

"The description field (English (United Kingdom)) is invalid

Im not super IT knowledgeable, so I need simple instructions as to how to get rid of this - eg. Localization/configuration etc. I don't understand FTPs or css or Rss - haven[t a clue what anyone is talking about, so please could someone explain simply - just from the controls on the left in the back office.

Thanks

I have tried editing this even under the source code, but it just won't let me edit anything because of this error message. The description field (English (United Kingdom)) is invalid.

Here's a copy and paste of what is there ATM

Please Note A PayPal handling charge is added to ALL shipping, including free shipped items. To avoid this charge please read here.

NB. If this item says Out of Stock, it's because I have orders on the go, or the yarn is out of stock in sufficient quantity. Please contact me so I can let you know when I can take another order. These longies are hand made to order, and knitted in yarn of your choice, with your specified measurements at hips and rise. Emboidery and motifs can be added to your choice from the specified designs, and can be placed on either the front or the back. Please order any embroidery you would like on the same order, and state where you want it in the messages box.

Wool nappy covers do not need washing very frequently - just air dry unless soiled. Lanolize every so often, for maximum efficiency.

Ready lanolized but to re-treat, I recommend you retreat with Lanolin Milk when necessary. This will probably need doing every couple of months, but my be needed more frequently until a furher 2 treatments have been made.

Hip, rise and leg length measurements will be adjusted downwards, so please order the appropriate size and adjust downwards, rather than ordering a smaller size and adjusting upwards. Please ask for any adjustments required to the basic size in the message box on checkout.

These will take around 2 weeks to make, once your order starts to process.Unless you state otherwise, I will knit your longies with a standard cuff.

Sorry, when I paste source code to my 1615 it works fine.  also delete your source above so bot's not index your shop from here. :)  best to attach a file others can download.

enable PS debug mode and retest:

https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/224525-how-to-turn-on-error-reporting-for-debug-information-blank-page-500-internal-server-error/

also from hosting control panel, navigate to your php error log and look for error.

Thanks again, but that link starts talking about FTP and hosting control panels, which is double dutch to me! I haven't a clue about FTP or where the hosting control pane is :(

you want to run shop?  then you will 'have' to learn basics of FTP and using your control  panel.  Or get friend with big pants to help you. ;)   Just google it (get filezila) and log into your  hosting and get familiar.  Now please do 100 push up,  you can break it into parts if that to many at once.  happy day, el

I've been running my shop before the update for several years.  didn't need to learn anything new - did everything through the menus,  no problems.I do have a life outside as well, not to mention a sick [spam-filter]. Shame prestashop has made life so difficult with the latest version.
