Categories Not Appearing In Alphabeticl Order

I need help or at least an answer.

I make changes in the back in "Categories" be it just a word in the title or change the picture. Everything under "Categories' is in alphabetical order. Then I go to the "Products" and the category that I just made a change on is completely out of alphabetical order. When I look on the front homepage my categories for the products are all messed up, even though they are correct in the back under "categories".

 

I have no idea of what to do and am hoping that someone can shed some light on this. Am afraid to make any changes under "categories" at all.
