stephendennis
I recently updated to Prestashop 1.6.1.3, when I did this I had some difficulties and ended up reinstalling the whole store from scratch. Anyway on the earlier version I had (v 1.4.x I think) I was able to give some of my products a second category and offer all products in the second category at a discount rate when someone bought three or more. This would work if you bought 1 of product A and two of product B, or three of product B or one each of product A, B and C. (I may have been using an addon, but this was five years ago, so I don't remember.) I've tried to do the same thing with the current installation and it only half works. I added all the items I wanted to use this discount on to a second category and under Catalog Price Rules I made a change in the base price for quantities of three or more. And added the Condition Group of the second category I'd made for all of the products I wanted discounted. When I go to the front office of the store and add the items to the cart, if I add three of product A, then product A is discounted correctly, but if I add two of Product A and one of Product B then no discount is added. Similarly if I add three of Product A and one of Product B, then only A is discounted, but if I add three of each then they are both discounted. Does anyone know how I can make this work properly? stephendennis
I finally figured it out. I had to set start and end dates for the Price Rules! Edited March 14, 2016 by stephendennis (see edit history)
