Vat In Registration Form

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I would like to have a non-mandatory VAT and company name in my short form user registration form.

I have switched on the b2b option, but whatever I try, I can only get :

company name:

SIRET:

APE:

of which SIRET and APE are mandatory.

why is Siret not translated to "VAT number"? or on my Dutch version to "BTW nummer"?

and how can I switch of the validation, so that customers can fill in anything they want?

is there a way through the backoffice? or does the code have to be modified? I think I could do it through authenticate.tpl and (there wasa nother file I read of, a php file), but is there no other user friendlier way?

regards,

Dave.

Update:

I thought I had gotten one step closer with this, as I noticed that the default user installed by prestashop id John Doe, he has two address, one in the US and one in France. If I look at his French address, there is a posibility to add a VAT number and a Company name, all from the BO mind you.

For his US address there is no such possibility,

I went to locatization > countries > france, and there in the address format is company and vat_number. So I added these to my dutch and UK country options, but when I look at an address for a dutch or UK customer the information fields are not there....

Any ideas anyone?
