How To Include Specific Categories For "amount-Off" Price Rule Cart

Hi all,

 

Can anyone help me with this? This is very important for my store and I can't find any way to do it!

 

For the Price cart> Cart rules, there are 3 types of cart rules. One is to apply a discount code, one is to apply amount off, and one is no discount ( not applicable in my case now.

 

 

For the option discount code, there's this 4 options under "Apply a discount":

 

1. Order ( without shipping)

2. Specific product

3. Cheapest product

4. Selected products

 

 

 

I need the last option <4. Selected products> to be added in for Amount option under "Apply a discount to"

Can anyone advise how it can be done?

I am not sure if I understand what you need.

 

Do you want to discount red dress 40$, or do you want to discount all dresses?

Click 'Conditions' find 'Product selection' under Restrictions and select products you want.

Hi,

 

Allow me to clarify.

Lets say I have 5 categories,

 

1. Backorder/preorder

2. Apparels (Instock items)

3. Shoes (Instock items)

4. Jewelry (Instock items)

5. SALE (Instock items)

 

I only want the Amount-off code to be applicable for category 2-5 and not category 1.

 

These codes are for customers who does exchanges of items for products they do not fit. I allow them to change to other instock items but not backorder items.

 

I would have 200-300 products at least. And the product specific item is only for one item. I'm looking at categories instead.

So it is the same.

Conditions->Product selection->Add rule concerning ->Categories.

It does not work that way.

 

Even if the categories have been selected, you proceed on to Actions, when you select the order (without shipping), the amount off is offset against the whole order inclusive all the categories.

 

I have tried that many times before posting here.

 

The categories selected only work for the Apply a discount and when you proceed on to actions you choose 4. Selected products
