[email protected]
Hi,I have a customer who would like to use prestashop to build his store. He needs to validate orders manually because shipping costs are never known in advance.Basically, he would like to recieve a purchase request, which is not a validated order (no payment). Then he adds manually the shipping costs and validates the request. Finally, the customer recieves a confirmation containing the order total + shipping cost with a payment link.Is that possible to do with prestashop? Many thanks for your answers. Ciscowrig
We do this exact thing using the cash on delivery module as our only payment option.I have edited the text in the COD module to say "submit order for review" instead of "cash on delivery" etc.We have given shipping options, but changed the translation for FREE! to TBD then the customer gets to choose "overnight", "2nd day", "cheapest", or "pick up in store" with no pricing being added. Then our parts department recieves the New Order email, validates the order within our own system, adds discounts, taxes and shipping charges where necessary and then forwards the customer an email with their final order invoice.Works nicely.
