sounds
I'm a bit confused about these settings, mainly the ranges, I'm not sure how to do it. The store I'm working on will have most of its stock drop-shipped, maybe by different suppliers. I added a new carried and called it UPS, even though I won't really be dealing with any carrier. So I need to set up my own weight/price ranges but I don't know how to calculate these ranges. Can anyone help make this a bit clearer please. Do I work from zero to the highest weight a product would be on my store? Hope someone can assist
Paulito
Hello See if this helps http://screencast.com/t/Pj6d2UZp I have 5 carriers all together but the image only shows 1, it's also based on price but it is exactly the same if you are pricing for weight. So, basically any product under £25.00 will cost £2.50 delivery, if it's over £25.00 it will be free. If you are using weight then you would want to increase these prices Paul Edited July 18, 2015 by Paulito (see edit history)
sounds
Think I kind of get it, but by no means am I sure how to create an accurate range.
Paulito
Hello again I appreciate that what you may require is a lot more complex than my requirements. I have five different carriers for five zones with a mixture of road and air freight. It would, I think, be better to start with putting down what you require on Paper so you can see everything in it's entirety, or give an example of what you require here Paul
sounds
I appreciate your reply too, it kind of refreshed my memory a bit, it's been a while. I'll have to ask my drop shipper if they can provide me a price/weight range, but they probably won't. I'm just not 100% sure how to fill in all the blanks and get a proper weight/price range, I think it's better to do it manually like this, I was testing the ups xml rates api for another system, to have it calculate the rates automatically, but I think those rates are always going to be more expensive than the suppliers I'm working with. Anyway.. The suppliers I'm looking at now have LxHxD set in mm, and their weight set as kg's So I'm converting mm to cm and setting the weight as kg's in presta. This is all I've done so far Edited July 18, 2015 by sounds (see edit history)
