Problem with Paypal module

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm new to Presta shop and trying to create and configure my shop. I've added the Paypal module and i had the message that I'm now able to accept Paypal payments. I then posed as a customer to see if it worked and as soon as I clicked the paypal button in my shop i received this error messge.

Error occurred:

Please try to contact the merchant:

 1. PayPal response:
 2. ->

Please can anyone help? I'm desperate to get the basics of my shop set up before i spend hours listing producs. Thanks in advance

Oh ok. No it's a new store. We mentioned to a friend that we wanted a website and as he does a lot with them he gave us the basics and a user manual! What do you recommend? Can we upgrade the PayPal module or do you think we should scrap it and try on a later version of prestashop? Is that link to upgrade PayPal? Thank you

If it is a new store I don't understand why you would have installed version 1.4. Did your friend install it for you?

1.6. something or other is the latest build and is a lot more modern in it's feel and operation. I would think about upgrading but a lot will depend on your own personal circumstances

The link was to download the latest version of PayPal module which you then install on your Prestashop
