Where to upload the products to place an image url in products.csv file for product images?

Hello,

I am confused if i place a single image url in image field whether it will create thumbnails automatically?

and in which folder should i place my product images in prestashop1.6 if i have to give its link in image field in .csv file?

Hello,

 

you can place the images wherever you want but they have to be accessible and you have to put the complete url. So if a manufacturer have the images of the products in his web you can copy the image url and paste it in the .csv file. If you have the images in your computer and it is not accessible from your server you will have to upload the images to your server or any other and paste the image url in the .csv file. 

 

I think once you import it will create thumbnails automatically but you can always generate the thumbnails in prestashop only clicking a button.
