Responsive images: cannot set image width:% in description and theme configurator?

Hello everyone,

 

as a finishing touch to the shop I'm trying to make it look perfect on all screen sizes. Two areas are giving me trouble:

 

- Homepage Theme Configurator images: as I reduce screen width they first move into two rows and then keep their size. Where can I set them as "width: 33%; height: auto"?

 

- Images within the product description: modifying their HTML code acts buggy: I can set their style width in pixels, but as soon as I use a percentage they look perfect in the preview but the width attribute disappears as soon as I save. Why is that?
