mektos
Hello, I have a sample CSV that I need some help with. For security reasons I have changed sensitive data for sample data but the content idea is still there. I cannot understand how I can import to Prestashop the CSV file given by my supplier, (the supplier said he couldn't help me) I have tried several ways to upload it but it wont upload the products as intended. This is for a clothing website. Can anyone shine some light over this? I am totally in the dark. Download CSV: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ofxi7sb2hl7c58r/sampleCSV.csv?dl=0 Thank you very much! killeer
HI It's a pain when suppliers give data like that, row one is the fileds like reference ect the other rows are one each for a product So for a product on row 2 for example if there is a reference then put it in then a comma to mark the end of the field. If there oasis data for the second field then put that in and then a comma, if no data then leave blank and put a comma. Csv import should pick it up, you have two options when importing field separator and another one. On mine I have the first as a comma and the second as a semi colon then when I click next the data is in a format to import. Try them two settings on the Csv import page

killeer
hi, just found out if you open a blank excel sheet and use the import option and import from txt you can select the csv file you need to import, change the options to tab ( or coma ) and you will see a preview. when the preview is in the format you want click finish and it will import the data into colums instead of rows
