[SOLVED] Add Category to existing Product

Hello,

 

I observed that the count of all products in my website is not equal to the number of products in category "Verlichting". It is due to the fact that this biggest parent category was not always selected during product adding. So some products belong to Verlichting but others not.

 

It is also the same with "Hanglampen", "Vloerlampen", "Tafellampen", "Wandlampen", "Plafondlampen" etc...

 

Do you guys know a way how I can update the category's?

I solved it! 

 

Go to your PHPmyAdmin and enter this query:

 

INSERT IGNORE INTO ps_category_product 

SELECT 258(category where you want your products), id_product, 0 

FROM ps_product

WHERE id_category != 2 && id_category != 72 && id_category != 80

 

In the where statement put the categories you don't want! You have to do the categories you don't want and all the subcategories because ps_product only saves the default category!
