Sharak
Just wondering what this option stands for? When adding new theme through Preferences -> Themes -> Add new there's a Responsive option. Tried both Yes and No while using default theme's files for all the same result each time. Shop is always responsive so what is it for? Krystian Podemski
It could be used by theme developers, for example.
Sharak
Well, I am a theme developer and can't see how that option changes anything. What exactly does it do? Edited June 23, 2015 by Sharak (see edit history)
Krystian Podemski
It will not change anything unless you'll code something for this option
Sharak
Could you give me some example? Another strange thing is while applying new theme when you have long list of modules that presta is going to hide in the process and enable a bunch of other modules (useless if you ask me ) but this again doesn't seem to be applied or works with only some of the modules. Only change visible at first glance is that top menu is ruined and has to be cleaned to work properly again.
Krystian Podemski
For example you can check if someone turn off responsive and disable responsivness for bootstrap... not everyone wants to have responsive site. I think that you missing the point of this feature, this is awesome feature for theme developers, it let you create theme where only specific modules will be enabled and people don't have to change hook positions, enabling/disabling modules etc. Of course it will work only after theme export as a new package because "Add new theme" is not mechanism for creation the final package for the theme. Sharak
OK, the second part is obvious, but still can't figure out the first one you can check if someone turn off responsive and disable responsivness for bootstrap... Just installed 1.6.0.14. Added completely new theme and only result is new empty directory in /themes - as expected, doesn't matter. Then added another new theme with default theme's files used and Responsive option set to NO and it's basically a 1:1 copy with no difference whatsoever in responsiveness. How exactly am I suppose to "turn off responsive and disable responsivness for bootstrap" and then check if this was made. I'll appreciate step by step tutorial Edited June 23, 2015 by Sharak (see edit history)
