Ading text to contact page

How can i add text to contact page. i tried adding it to contact-form.tpl and it didn't work.

i only have a form there.

After template changes go to Backoffice->Advanced Parameters->Performance.

 

Click "Force Compilation", set Cache to "No". Save.

 

Refresh your contact page and it should now show your changes.

No sure what you did or did not do before but, go to:

 

themes/your theme/default-bootstrap/contact-form.tpl

 

and around line 27 you will see this:

</h1>

Just add your text just under the h1 closing tag (</h1>)

of course if you hard code this and use more than one language you will need to add extra coding.

I just did that and it didn't work.

I found and unsuccesfully tested this metod before. Is it posible that the former administrator could have altered the code in this manner so no one could modify it?
