moniza66
Hi everybody, I need urgent help, one of my colleagues deleted a category by accident and now all the products that were in that category are nowhere to be found, I tried to recreate the category with the same name but I'm guessing since it had a different ID it can't relate to it. I forgot to back my database since January and many hours of work are totally vanished, needless to say I'm sick to my stomach and any help will be appreciated enormously like you have no idea (I'm willing to pay tech support if that's what is necessary) The deleted category is called SPY GADGETS and my stores cart website is www.spyshopone.net/prestashop/ It would be nice to see a restore button in prestashop in case your employees don't exactly do what they are told, in my case it's my partner and I can't fire him (even though right now I wish I could) in any case I would need to fire myself for not backing up my database and two for not restricting his permissions to add and delete products only. Anyway, I appreciate an answer either way, if nothing can be done then I take the opportunity to upgrade to the latest version since I'm going to be out of commission for a long while until I create item by item (But I'm praying that won't be my case) Right now I have placed my site in maintenance mode but if needed I can set it live so you guys can see my problem. I am using 1.5.6.2 Regards, Monica

moniza66
Update!! It seams the products are still there they just can find where to relate to, I guess I'll have to spend all night linking them but that's far better than making one by one, still if anybody know a trick to link them faster, I will appreciate it very much. moniza66
I am the host as well, I will look into it but I did see any auto backups of my database and I'm not very good at database language however I'm all ears.
moniza66
Can Prestashop show a list of products as a total without its link to any particular category? That would solve my problem because now I know all the products are there but cant relate to any category so they don't show up, any suggestions? moniza66
Hi, yesterday I encounter the infamous http 500 internal server error and after turning on reporting it shows me the following: Fatal error: Class Tools not found in /home/www.prestashop.config/config.inc.php on line 65 How do I fix that? and what caused it? I was just adding products in my back office ( I sometimes have used store commander to move things around faster) I had not experience this problem before. I had someone delete a category accidently and had issues but, I have since then found out that it could have been fixed by recreating the category and giving it the same ID as the one deleted before, but decided the site needed an over haul anyway and been working many hours cleaning our item list, removing some and adding many new items but I have never experience such a problem before. If someone could point me in the right direction I would surely appreciate it. Thanks.
