jon active
I’ve read all the threads I can find about wholesale options (some I can understand, some I can not!). I have been resolutely adding wholesale prices to all my products so why isn’t there a simple function or module to install that allows us to give wholesale customers the option of buying products at the wholesale price rather than a generalised percentage discount? jon active
I have read the threads around this suggestion and it doesn't answer my questionWhy isn't there a simple Wholesale price buying module created by Presta Shop that doesn't involve messing around adding extra data?thanx for your reply, but that thread is not easy to understand and not as simple as it sounds, I find! pearsbent
Though I can see the Purchase Order module when my Gold customers and Gold status on the module match.I can't see it when it's marked Gold and my customers are Wholesale customers. There does not seem to be a hierarchy here. The Purchase Order module also does not allow me to actually enter a PO number, and the comments that are supposed to be able to be viewed on the Confirmation Screen do not show up... jon active
Thanx to all for the info and suggestions for fixing a wholesale option. I though you might be interested to know that I requested a simple WHOLESALE OPTION MODULE from Presta shop (otherwise why go to the bother of entering the wholesale prices?) . Presta shop offered such a module for the fee of 3000 euros which was kind of dissapointing and unrealistic. I suggested they offer it for 30 and at least 1000 of us would buy it immediately but no response no that! Oh well, have to my eyes on e-commerce after all!
enigma32
Do you want a pretty and clean module, or do you want it to just work?I'm working on this for myself, it's probably not going to be the biggest feature filled module, its just gonna get the job done

jon active
Hey enigma32 that sounds very interesting, and no all I'm interested in is functionality. As to the Multi prices and reductions module it does not make it clear wether they will access the wholesale prices already added to our hundreds of items, Can you clarify that? I'm not gonna spend all that money for a half arsed solution.cheersjon
olea
@Jon,In prestashop, the wholesale price is defined but not used : difficult to know what was the purpose of this field, either is could be the price you've bought the product, either, as it seems you've done, this is the price you sell your products to wholesalers. So my multi-price module manages its own DB tables, allowing to specify for each group (and/or each customer in full version) the sale price of each product and the potential reduction. If you already have the wholesale price filled in your product table, it will be possible to transfer these info into the module tables
jon active
Thanx for your reply. Will your module automaticaly sort the price from the otherwise useless wholesale price box? Will your module be affected by a presta shop upgrade?Am I right in assuming I will just assign certain customers to a wholesale group in your module and they will then be shown the alternative prices? And they will calculated in the shop and postage added as normal?mercijon
olea
Will your module automaticaly sort the price from the otherwise useless wholesale price box? Ypu mean in FrontOffice? yes, prices are sorted in FO by prices applicable to this customer Will your module be affected by a presta shop upgrade? We can not assume what will be the next releases of Presta. But I'm pretty sure my module is compatible with the v1.x software line. Am I right in assuming I will just assign certain customers to a wholesale group in your module and they will then be shown the alternative prices? And they will calculated in the shop and postage added as normal? My module allows to specify in BO the product price for a given group or a given customer. Before displaying price in FO, the module looks if a price is defined for this customer, if not, if a price is defined for his default group, if not it uses the 'normal' price. The cart, the order, the payment process is then managed with this computated price.
