New user, quick question(s) please

So I already found a theme I am going to purchase, and I just installed PrestaShop.

Quesitons:

 

- Why, when I login to my new control panel, does it show customer info already and total sales of $641,063?  Is this just there for an example, and if so - how do I get rid of it?

 

- Ironically this Prestashop wont be a store, atleast not initially, for this website build.  I am just utilizing it for inventory management with no eCommerce (client request).  Im assuming it wont be difficult to hide the 'store' aspect of this site, but maybe that depends on the theme being used?
