Steviekb
Hi, So my issues list is slowly getting smaller, almost as slowly as prestashop seems to run. I have version 1.6.0.11 and when a user is logged in everything seems to be fine and runs like a dream, but if that user is new/has no account or is not logged in, well they may as well click add to cart and go and make a cup of tea and a toasted sandwich, then when they get back it may just of added the item to their cart. Can anyone shed any light as to what may be causing this issue? TIA Steve
El Patron
to get to the underlying issue you can start by enabling PrestaShop profiling then recreate the issue and capture the profiling data for later analysis. config/defines.inc.php set to true (note when enabled anyone visiting front or back office will trigger profiling so disable when not profiling) define('_PS_DEBUG_PROFILING_', false); also consider disabling 3rd party modules and/or overrides and see if issue disappears. back office-->advanced parms-->performance this will help you eliminate a 3rd party module as culprit. There are other things of course but these will give your some idea how to obtain information on issue. good luck, el
Steviekb
Hi El Patron, thank you for taking the time to respond I have tried your suggestions and nothing seems to have changed, the only thing is with the profiling i tend to get a further issue whereby the site will not load I have also updated to the latest version in the hope that this may fix things (it hasnt). Im not quite sure why there is no problem if the user is logged in, but is a nightmare if they are not Would I be better off moving to a different platform? or is there something else I can try/am missing? Again thanks in advance for any help Regards Steve
El Patron
Hi Steve, can you provide front office url? maybe one of us can see something logged vs. non-logged. thanks, Fred
Steviekb
Apologies for the delay in coming back to you the site is www.babybots.co.uk Again thanks for very much for your help Regards Steve
El Patron
I'm looking and when non-logged then yes 'add to cart' is essentially broken given time it takes. I ran chrome tools but did not see any errors. my first idea without knowing exact issue is to upgrade to 1.6.0.14 which has 'loads' of fixes, 1.6.0.9 and .14 are the only releases we are comfortable with and even then, well they release many 'betas' to the unsuspecting before a stable is released. hopefully one of the better fo debuggers will wander along and maybe see something. El Patron
back office-->adv parms-->performance here disable 3rd (non-prestashop modules) and overrides see if issue persists....what we want to determine is if you have loaded a non-prestashop module that is interfering. Steviekb
Hi, I have already updated to 1.6.0.14 and all non prestashop modules are already disabled Could it be an issue with my hosting provider? although im guessing it is to do with the software as the issue only affects when a user is not logged in Regards Steve
