WebmasterManelli
Hi, I've been working with Prestashop 1.5.3.1 for a couple of months now, so I'm getting used to it, but now I'm stumped :/ The problem I'm having is with uploading product images from the back-end Product > Images Tab. Prestashop doesn't seem to actually upload the image. When I try to upload the image I get a red error box with the following message ( translated from french ) : Error while creating additional image. Then I refresh the page and I see that an image has been added to my product, but instead of an image, i get a gray square with a " ? " which means that the image path doesn't exist. So I open my FTP client and can't find the image anywhere. Prestashop doesn't even create the directory : "/img/p/2/4/1/4/2414.jpg" for example. I tried setting permissions to 755 but still doesn't work. I've searched though forums and can't find the solution. I recently imported 150 products with images into Prestashop via CSV and that worked, but I forced the product ID's so there are gaps in the list ( ..., 456, 457, 458, 647, 648, 649, ... ) Could this be the cause of the problem ? Because I've tested it on my local server and everything works fine. Has any one had this problem before ? Or does anybody know how to resolve this problem ? Any help would be much appreciated !! WebmasterManelli
Somehow, my problem resolved itself over night. I have no idea how, but when I tried to upload an image this morning, it just worked. The problem might have been caused by our host : OVH. EDIT : This afternoon, after importing a .csv file containing products, I can no longer upload images... RE-EDIT : I finally found the problem... when deleting images from the Database, there were still traces of the deleted images in other tables. So when trying to add new images there were conflicts, so I cleaned the DB and now everything is working again.
