Product Attributes - Extra (non public) value?

For many of my products, I have attributes, where I need a public name and a non public name for internal reference.

 

In Prestashop only the main attribute has a non public name, values in the attribute do not.

 

Let us assume I have an attribute called color, that cointains

 

Red

Green

Yellow

Blue

Purple

Pink.

 

For the customer the above name is perfect, yet for internal use, I need to add a specific paint code, so that the people in our product knows exactly what bucket of spraypaint to use. Adding the paint code in a parenthesis is an option, but one I'd rather not use, so I'm very open to other suggestions.
