R4istlin
Hi, since my expertise with PrestaShop is still limited, I hope you can help me in solving this issue. I configured PrestaShop in multistore mode, and everything seems to be fine. Now, I'd like to create a home page where the customer, before displaying the main store, can choose a specific shop just through its link. I already checked various sites in order to get some information, and I understood that I need to create the home page, positioning it in the root and modifying the .htaccess file, but I need additional indications... Is there someone who would be so kind to explain me more accurately how to proceed in order to get the result I need? Thank you in advance Pasquale Edited March 9, 2015 by R4istlin (see edit history)
danilopnh2
Hi, I've been in a similar situation recently, I decided to create a simple HTML page with a select list, with proper links to the shops registered. To register a multistore store you can get the virtual URL, and then fill in your select list with the stores, I don't know if it's the best solution, but it helped me. tks
R4istlin
Hi, first of all, thank you for your reply I already created a HTML page (index.html) with the links of the various stores, and they are already configured with virtual URL (www.mysite.com/shop1 www.mysite.com/shop2) The issue is related to the redirect: if I type www.mysite.com, the main store showed by the system is www.mysite.com/shop1. My need is that the customer, when he/she types www.mysite.com, could find the index.html page with links of various shops, and not directly the shop 1 Basically, I need to understand how and where I have to modify the code, in order to obtain a redirect from www.mysite.com to www.mysite.com/index.html Thank you in advance, Pasquale Edited March 6, 2015 by R4istlin (see edit history)
danilopnh2
You have to create the structure as follows: leaving an index.html and the shop inside a folder (see example). The only thing you need to do is take the virtual urls from shops and do point to your store.
Valsirob
Hello, Is there way to get a step by step help how to do this? We are just users, not programmers. What is best to have as URL shop1.mysite.com OR www/mysite.com/shop1? Thanks for your help. rgds, Valsirob
R4istlin
Thanks to all I solved! I configured the shops with virtual url (mysite.com/shop1 and shop2), I simply added an index.html created by me in the root, without changing any code, typing www.mysite.com pointing is on index.html Sorry for the stupid question, I thought it was necessary to modify the code, however it was not necessary
