Prestashop 1.6 how to change the category description lenght?

Hi all,

 

I would like to ask if anyone can help me with the category description lenght. I need to have more characters then it is.

I want to show whole description without any "more" button.

How to do it?

Using PS 1.6.0.8

 

You can change the truncate value in your category.tpl file by going to:

 

public_html/Your Shop/themes/default-bootstrap/category.tpl

 

and around line 59 you should see:

 

 {if Tools::strlen($category->description) > 350}   (Change this number)

                                <div id="category_description_short" class="rte">{$description_short}</div>

                                <div id="category_description_full" class="unvisible rte">{$category->description}</div>

                                <a href="{$link->getCategoryLink($category->id_category, $category->link_rewrite)|escape:'html':'UTF-8'}" class="lnk_more">{l s='More'}</a>

You have also emptied cache and tried Force Compilation?

I also tried that yesterday. Didn't work.

 

I removed category title and product quantity. succesfully. So I know it ain't cache problem.
