Homepage default to category

Hello fellow Prestashoppers,

 

I have set up my Prestashop installation on a local development server. I have disabled unused modules and continuing configuration of the my store.

 

My store has only 1 main category only which contains several sub-categories/products. What I wanted to ask is that if anybody knew of a way to default the homepage to automatically display my single main category instead of the existing homepage, and if so how one would go about the best way of achieving this?

Excellent advice, thank you very much Crezzur it works perfectly.

 

Just in case anyone's interested, the correct way was creating the IndexController in the overrides folder, adding in the redirect, and then deleting the cache/class_index.php file.
