How can i apply changes by modifying html templates?

Hello, 

 

i tried modifying the .html and .txt files of the mail templates in my PS Cloud 1.6 by conecting with the server. I only changed a couple of text lines and then replace the files in the server (FTP).  

 

I can see the modified files are still there, however when i send myself test emails. the original templates still appears.

 

 

any help here will be very usefull.
