tannergb
I started working and developing a website for this business with prestashop. Before me though, they had someone else set up the website with prestashop on a different computer. Is there anyway i can get the source code onto the work computer im using to code some stuff into it?? Any information is helpful
Guest
Can you get FTP access ? The customer must be able to give you the host details if it is hosted and currently online. Unless they have the cloud version. Perhaps we need some more details
tannergb
Yeah I could use an FTP to have him transfer the files over, if that will work. I dont believe it is the cloud version. If he just transferred them over through FTP would they work if i change them?
Guest
Only if you FTP them back Actually though I would suggest if they have the ftp details then they give you them so you can directly access and the details of the database (name, password etc). Many developers have a local installation on their own computers which then syncs the modified files either manually or automatically to the online server https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/215562-installing-prestashop-on-your-local-machine-tutorial/?hl=%20offline
