Help with: Categories and Products. An obscure situation.

Been searching for quite some time now but it seems I can't get any answers, so I shall turn to this. Maybe I'm a poor searcher .

 

I want to know how does Prestashop treat categories and products when you import CSV files, like if, for instance, I upload 1000 products for which I need categories and sub-categories, or maybe even sub-sub-categories. The first thing I would be smart to do, is to create my .csv file with the category tree, correct?

 

And if so, when I upload the products.csv, assuming I have the correct category tree and the correct data inside field "Categories" from the products.csv, will the platform move every one of the products, inside the specified category, sub-category, or even sub-sub category?

 

Now, this is all assumed through the fact that I can add a multi-value to field "Categories", products.csv, in order to place each product where I need to, but I can't find any information about it and if it works like this, or any other way.

 

Basically, I have to make over 1000 categories, including sub and sub-sub categories, and include 12000 products, which means, that time is of the essence and I can't afford to edit each and every one, individually.

 

What is the correct way to link csv import for products and categories, in order to put products in desired categories through the csv import?
