Jason Seale Posted December 14, 2009 Share Posted December 14, 2009 If you want to sort your products by your own criteria, and not by name or price or whatever, follow these steps:-- Go to Back Office ... Preferences ... Products and choose Default order by: [Position inside category]-- Now, go to Back Office ... Catalog-- Click on the Category with the products you want to sort-- Under Products in this category use the little black up and down arrowheads in the Position column to arrange your products in the desired order-- Customers will still be able to overide your custom sort by choosing to sort by name, price etc. on the product pages, but at least the first thing they see will be what you want them to see. Ralf Skirr Posted July 4, 2011 Share Posted July 4, 2011 Hm, in my shop there aren't any arrows, but numbers instead, and no way to edit the numbers.I have a different installation where I have the arrows, but in my latest shop I can't get the arrows.Any idea?
