Advanced Stock Management

Originally thought this was a Store Manager problem, but I think its a stock management problem?

 

I'm trying to use advanced stock management per:

I have two questions:

1) When I go to Stock | Stock management all stock is showing as 0 quantities, although the entire store was just inventoried. Shouldn't this page show the quantities already in the system? Please see (SM2.GIF, attached)

You can see, for instance, that the very first item "epic protein," has a quantity of "2"  in the products catalog, but "0" in Stock Management.

And also that I have set Advanced Stock Management on this product (and all products)

2) When I go through the documentation steps above to process an order, when I receive an order, shouldn't it update the quantities in stock automatically?

So, assuming the answers to those two are "YES," why is this not working correctly in my system.
