Dandos
Greetings glorious prestashop forums and mighty developers I seek guidance in a matter which I cannot solve regarding categories menu. I am using Prestashop version 1.5.5.0 and a free version of this theme: http://livedemo00.te...estashop_46844/ what I need to do: display product categories with dropdown in the horizontal menu above the slider as in this theme: http://demo.prestash.../en/?view=front I searched in this forum and only found that you need to add categories to 'Top horizontal menu' module. But this theme, as I understand, doesent use this module for the menu bar, firebug says it uses "header-box blockpermanentlinks-header". So, what should you advise me to do to add categories above the slider like in 1.6 theme ? Thank you for your time
PSfever.com
Welcome Dandos, I never thought of myself as a might developer, but maybe, just maybe you're right this time. Allright, so from what I see, you're using Prestashop 1.5. and a Theme purchased on Template Monster. You want to add this menu, that is part of Prestashop 1.6. However, PS 1.5. has the same/similar module with same functionality. What I would suggest is the following - Get the ZIP version of your Prestashop 1.5. (preferably the same version) and unzip it. Open up the modules folder and there you should fine the tophorizontalmenu module. Copy this module to your PS 1.5. site (using the FTP), install this module and deactivate the module that is currently there (should be something like TM XXXXXX) Hopefully, you understood it, it's not rly hard to do!
