different themes for each categories

Hello everyone, I just installed prestashop 1.6 on my localhost, and I would like to know how I can do the following things :

 

   I have a shop with 4 verry different categories (books, jewels, ...). I would like to have  like 4 stores, with 4 different themes for each categorie.  But, I want the shops to share the cart, and I red that the prestashop multistore did not allow that.

 

can you tell me what solution would be the best ?

 

at the end, I want a front page, with buttons to go to each categories, and I want each categories to have an home page  diffetents new product, different promotion, ...

 

I have limited skills in HTML and CSS, so don't hesitate to add details in your answer.

which files should I modify, which languages should I learn, or any usefull link to anytutorial.
