Phone number required + checkout 5 steps = bug

Hello

 

im using the 1.5.4.1 version

with on a dedicated server

everything is ok except when new customer needs to register...

 

I propose the "5 steps checkout", with "one phone number at least is required"

BUT, customer can continue on the next step without informing any phone number.

Is it normal ?

 

If i choose the 1 page checkout, with "one phone number at least is required"

It is working correctly. Customer cant continue if he doesnt put the phone number.
