[SOLVED] major database issues in FO and BO after change of primary domain

Recommended Posts

 In my manufacturers module configuration page some icons are missing..  look at image attached and please tell me how to act to re-establish functionalities

panic update: I tried to reconfigure the module but it has disappeared.

- It doesn't reinstall it because it says that  "This module need to be hooked in a column and your theme does not implement one"... Undefined property: Theme::$default_left_column / $default_right_column

- it is gone from the module list, it is gone from the "hook a module" section

I guess I need urgent help !!!

I have had my ISP to reinstall the module, but it's still missing of radio buttons... as in the image of the first post. Any developer to help?

Moreover:

1) customer login is not recognised, not even after a password reset

2) adding a product it puts it in the cart but as I go to view/add another product or checkout, the cart is emptied

3) adding another quantity of the same product doesn't add up in the cart's total quantity

4) in the admin page, I want to change login details but I don't know how

I believe it's a matter of reconfiguring some files after the primary domain was changed. But which ones?

you see, we just changed primary domain. I let my ISP do it and they didn't touch PS database. Then I updated some links in the page. Nothing more than that.

Afterwards, I just went to change some configuration in blockmanufacturers (all from BackOffice) and have already noticed that the icons and radio buttons were missing. Then I clicked on "reset" hoping to restore it but the module died. Today my ISP reinstalled it but the icons are still missing.

Somehow this issue with the module has spoiled some other things. But, again, the database was not touched by anyone.

All issues have been resolved by my ISP, so I cannot post the solution. Some of the issues were related to the cache (they were working in IE and not in FF) and the blockmanufacturers was reinstalled from a previous backup.

As a matter of fact I found myself in trouble because the installation folder was deleted as scommon practice suggests, so I believe Prestahop's developer should post a thread on how to reinstall only parts of the script (for instance, a module). I couldn't find amy support in the documentation but have found really skilled coders on my ISP. Lucky me.
