Supplying single product from multiple stocks

Hello everyone,

 

I have chosen to use PrestaShop for the upcoming project. PrestaShop have almost all features that my client is in need, except one little thing, that I cant figure it out. I will try to explain.

 

For example, my client sells cable and its sold in meters. Warehouse stock comes in stacks or packs, for example 100 meters per stack, warehouse manager then gives unique IDs to each and every stack.

The problem that I have, I cant find a way to split single stock into multiple stock entries or create multiple stock entries for single product. Warehouse manager need to see all stacks list in stock management and how many meters is left in each stack.

 

Idea is that, user who wants to buy some Cable, sees that there is available 400 meters of cable (warehouse stock contains 4 stacks x 100m) and he wants to buy 50 meters of cable. When client receives order, it passes to warehouse manager, then warehouse manager checks all stacks of cable to see if its possible to get whole 50 meters of cable and then chooses from which stack cut all needed cable.

 

I hope you will get my idea what I am looking for. Is it possible?
