Unable to remove product association with category

Hi,

 

I am having an issue with my shop, Prestashop version 1.5.5.0.
PHP version: 5.3.3, MySQL version: 5.1.61.

 

The problem is I am unable to remove a certain category association.

 

Please have a look at the attached screenshot.

According to the screenshot this product is associated with both the Accessoires category and the DVD's category.

The DVD's category is correct. However, the Accessoires category is incorrect and I would like to remove this association.

However, there is hot check in this category box.

 

I thought to be "smart" by checking the categories and unchecking them again afterwards, but this doesn't solve it.

 

Can anybody help me out on this ?\

Hi Robert, that definitely looks a bit weird.

Out of interest, are any of the sub-subcategories below Fietsbroeken, Fietsjacks, Triathlon and Fietsshirts checked?  Can't work out whether the '1 selected' against Fietskleding is the (phantom) 1 in Accessoires or relates to a valid association in one of the other subcategories. Although even if I knew that, I'm not sure it would help!

Also, is there a row in the ps_category_product table in your database linking the Accessoires category (or one of its subcategories) to the product in question? 

Have you only seen this on this one product?  If so, I suggest deleting the product and setting it up again from scratch.

Yes it is really weird.

Three products are having this issue. I just deleted two of these and disabled the other one which needs to be redirected.

Afterwards I recreated the products.

Now they are in the correct category, but still very weird...
