v1.5.5.0, mail service, invalid mail-from address text

Hi,

 

I've detected an issue configuring mail service. I've changed mail service provider from "Google Apps for Business" to "1&1 - Mail Service" (//1and1.es). This is to stop using a development stage internet domain mail service provider and start using the production stage internet domain mail service.

 

In essence it works. The problem is that the mail sent using the new provider contains an invalid mail-from address. The mail is sent OK using the new service provider, but the mail-from field contains the previous provider information: uses the older mailbox name and domain name.

Analyzing the email source code and log I see the mail is sent using the new service provider, that only recognizes the new internet domain. In the email content it somehow fills in the mail-from, reply-to, and similar fields to answer the email to the previous mailbox.

 

I looked into it and I see no problem with the service provider. With other apps it works ok. It is a problem specifically linked to how Prestashop handles mail settings with option "for advanced users". I manually configure parameters such as: smtp hostname, tcp port, ssl, user name and password.

 

Question:

¿Does anyone experienced exactly the same problem?

 

¿Solution workaround?

- The Back-Office interface does not provide a web-form with fields: Mail-Reply-To, Mail-CC/CCO. So if not present, they should be empty when using SMTP. But they are not.

- My intuition is that having these fields empty the problem should be solved.
