Christian Buch
Hello, Running version 1.5.1 and my webshop is here: Link I have a problem when trying to edit or add CMS pages. I simply can't do it. I have CMS pages created long time ago and those are accessible from FO. However, when I click on CMS pages from BO i get a 404 - page not found. So seems like I have problems with my links but I can't find the error. I'm able to create a CMS page but it doesn't show in the front office and when clicking on it from BO it responds with a 404 - page not found. Any help will be highly appreciated. stottycabanas
Hi Christian, An observation. In your screenshot, you have 3 icons under the Actions column on the far right. The first of these looks like a 'View' icon, often used when there is another level below the current one. The pages in question don't strike me as ones which would have another level below. My CMS pages work fine in BO and don't have these icons. Do you know why they are there? Also the screenshot only shows part of the page - it might help to see the rest of it with the CMS category/categories. Another thing - on your site, the links to the CMS pages listed in the Information block in the left column do not match the page names in your screenshot - well, 5 & 6 don't match although 7 & 8 do. Are all your translations OK? Don't know if any of that helps or not. Cheers, Dave
Christian Buch
Hi Dave Thank you very much. You are absolutely right - that looks a bit odd. There is no deeper layer although there are 3 icons. When I click the 'View' icon it goes directly into the FO and returns with a 404 page not found. Also I can confirm your observations that the CMS pages in the FO doesn't match the links in the BO. I have no idea why? Do you know how I can check the translations for this? I've attached a screenshot with the CMS categories and pages.
ibndawood
Hi @stottycabanas, The view icon do appear on versions prior to 1.5.4 Christian, Can u post the URL when clicked gives you 404? Thanks
Christian Buch
Yes, do you mean the URL as it should be or the 404 page? I'm not exactly sure what you mean. However, here is an example: The link in the FO is: http://romspecialisten.com/content/7-om-os When clicked from BO it gives this URL: http://romspecialisten.com/page-not-found?id=7&rewrite=om-os&meta_title=om-os
ibndawood
your backoffice edit icon should have URL like this : controller=admincmscontent&id_cms=6&updatecms&token=10e47c8bcc14d9b54f0ff7186ac5ebb1 and view icon should have URL liike this : controller=admincmscontent&id_cms=6&viewcms&token=10e47c8bcc14d9b54f0ff7186ac5ebb1 You should be able to add new pages. Once you add new pages to get them listed you'll have to go to Modules->Modules and search for CMS Block and click to configure to show the latest products. Christian Buch
That is exactly the problem. If a create a new CMS page and can add the page to the CMS block. However, it is not displayed in the FO and if I click the view button it gives a 404 page not found. Like the page doesn't exist although it is just added and created? ibndawood
I think its most likely a problem with URL rewrite. Can u disable friendly URL and check if it works ?
Christian Buch
Will it have any consequence to my product links? If so it would not be desirable..
ibndawood
You can disable it temporarily just to check and enable it again. It won't affect your product links in that case.
