Emails not generating

Nither me nor the customer is receiving emails when ever an order is generated. I have tried reinstalling mailalerts 2.3 v module but of no use i am only getting alerts in my BO. Under Adv Parameters -> E-mail section I am using PHP. I have also tried SMTP but of no use and am also not receiving the test mail. This problem started when I upgraded my shop from 1.5.4v to 1.5.5v earlier I was using PHP parameter ...Plz help

if you are not using your domains email address i.e. [email protected]  and using something like something@gmail

 

then your email is probably stuck on the server because it is considered spam.

 

if you are using gmail you  will need to set up your mail servers for google.

the test php mail does not generate the email to you?

 

I would go directly to my hosting account and look at my mail server to see if messages are being put on queue.

 

It would not hurt to contact your hosting provider.  Who is you hosting provider?  This may help searching for this problem.

Thanks for your suggestion I will try to do the same and also contact the hosting provider, my hosting provider is Bigrock.com's Indian subsidary bigrock.in with their servers in US.

In my mail server I could find the mail que for another website hosted on the same hosting as I have multidomain hosting plan but could not find any queue for the website in question.
