Stock Management

Hi there. I'm a totally new user, coming from another shopping cart system.

 

I'm setting this up so I can switch over to it. I'm loving it so far.

 

Anyway, I have a product, which has various attributes etc.

My problem is that the product has say 50 in stock. It doesn't matter which attribute they chose, it's out of the 50. but it seems to want me to put so many under each attribute. How can I make it that it doesn't matter which attribute, the stock still comes out of the total number?
