manex
Thank you Paul, I have done that but no result yet, I can see URL rewriting (mod_rewrite) is not active on your server, or it is not possible to check your server configuration. If you want to use Friendly URLs, you must activate this mod. below is my .htaccess file content <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>RewriteEngine onRewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^penachsales.com$RewriteRule . - [E=REWRITEBASE:/]RewriteRule ^api/?(.*)$ %{ENV:REWRITEBASE}webservice/dispatcher.php?url=$1 [QSA,L]# AlphaImageLoader for IE and fancyboxRewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^penachsales.com$RewriteRule ^images_ie/?([^/]+)\.(jpe?g|png|gif)$ js/jquery/plugins/fancybox/images/$1.$2 [L]</IfModule><IfModule mod_expires.c> ExpiresActive On ExpiresByType image/gif "access plus 1 month" ExpiresByType image/jpeg "access plus 1 month" ExpiresByType image/png "access plus 1 month" ExpiresByType text/css "access plus 1 week" ExpiresByType text/javascript "access plus 1 week" ExpiresByType application/javascript "access plus 1 week" ExpiresByType application/x-javascript "access plus 1 week" ExpiresByType image/x-icon "access plus 1 year"</IfModule>FileETag INode MTime Size<IfModule mod_deflate.c> <IfModule mod_filter.c> AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/html text/css text/javascript application/javascript application/x-javascript </IfModule></IfModule>#If rewrite mod isn't enabledErrorDocument 404 /index.php?controller=404 Edited September 9, 2013 by manex (see edit history)
surferboy
Hi - I'm trying to install a webservice with stamps.com and having some issues. I am not sure if the URL rewriting is an issue. So this post is related to this topic because it seems like one indicator shows one thing for URL rewriting and and yet shows another indicator somewhere else. My Dashboard shows this: and yet, when I go to Preferences -> SEOs & URL's - Set Up URLs, I see this: I have updated .htaccess file in the steps outlined above in this topic. I have also added an .htaccess file in the root of my httpdocs (the prestashop is installed in a directory inside the httpdocs. That .htaccess file shows this: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine OnSo my question after all that explanation is if my URL rewriting is properly enabled, as it shows in the dashboard, and does that warning always show up in the Preferences -> SEO & URLs? Thanks, Brian
