J.Sahu
While displaying the product description in the attributes field I want to keep "Please Select" as an option and if the customer clicks on the add to cart without choosing the attribute it will show a warning saying Pleas select a value or color or something that has been defined in the attribute list. Can I make it like this ?
stottycabanas
I've seen other posts along these lines, and I've thought for a while that it would be a really useful addition to have this - especially where there is the possibility to click an Add to Cart button which currently just puts the default combination straight into the cart. Any thoughts on how to do this would be welcomed.
J.Sahu
Yes, from my point of view default attribute should be null and if there is only one attribute value or no attribute then it should be default. Though it's ok but that would make it more cool.
csunds
This is not just a cool nice-to-have feature.... this is a MUST-have feature. 2013, and this is still missing. ? Come on ! I have many problems, with people that are ordering size small (default value)... they recive it, send email and want the correct size. I have have tried to make a default value in sizes called "Choose size", with quantity 0. So people cannot order that, and are forced to choose another size. But the big problem with that is that, when people load the product page, the default value "Choose size" has a quantity there is a text saying "THIS PRODUCT IS NO LONGER IN STOCK".The person who reads that will missunderstand it... thinking ... the product is no longer in stock. Not just the size. Come on... we need that SIMPLE function. Standard value 0 - force people to make a choice..... the right choice. thanks

wakabayashi
Yes, from my point of view default attribute should be null and if there is only one attribute value or no attribute then it should be default. Though it's ok but that would make it more cool. Is there still no such an option? I want my customer to force to select an Option. I searched like an hour in this Forum and found some old ideas how to solve this problem. It seems that many users has this problem. Why is prestashop team so ignorant to this topic? It is important feature. The problem with alert is, that it is just not nice. Standard is the option which is mostly buyed, but all this costumers get the alert. I dont want this. My customer should only get alert, if they chose nothing. So they will know "aha i can chose". If they are clever enough to chose, i dont wanna alert them. Any Solutions?
