How to get every attribute image to display, with add-to-cart

Hi, I'm brand new to Prestashop. I'm going to sell yarn, and every product will have a number of color choices. Normally color will be the only attribute, but often there will be many choices.

 

I'd love to be able to show the image for every color choice in a grid, and not just three or so with the rest hidden.

 

Ideally I'd like to have an add-to-cart link under each image, like this

And the ultimate would be this design, with a quantity box on every image:

Does anyone know of any modules which would allow this? If not, do you think it's a reasonably do-able development project? I'm a Java programmer and just beginning with PHP.
