catherine@loveit
hi everyone, i am brand new to Presta shop and so far my experience has not been a good one. I purchased a template and have had it installed twice now (by the company that I purchased it from) and still have not been able to create a product. I had it restalled this morning and have not touched anything other than to go to the product page. When I create a new product and press the save button i get a red message saying This field friendly URL is required at least in English (English) . I don't know whether it is an issue that I have with my hosting company, another issue with installation, or something that I need to fix - I have zero technical skills. The URL friendly option is actually set to 'no' at the moment. Is there any one that can help me. The company that did the installation tells me that it is working ok but the message is red and simply won't let me create a product...clearly they did not test that it works. I am at my wits end!! any help would be greatly appreciated. I have had this site for three weeks now and still have not been able to enter one product! PSfever.com
Catherine, this error usually pops up, when you don't fill out the URL adress of the product. I don't know how and which version you have installed, yet can you try to go the Preferences- SEO&URL and Allow friendly URL and try to create the product again? This time pay attention to an input field that should be called something like "Friendly URL". IF this doesn't help, I can think of one more thing - what is your primary language? If not english, go to Localization, languages and disable english temporarly. If this solved the problem, then the solution is quite clear. As you have more languages enabled, try the next time to create the product for all the languages that are enabled and that you'll be using futher one..
