Multi color option

I'm sorry if the question is too simple, I'm new to prestashop (former Zencart user) and not yet familiar with it.

What I'm trying to do is this:

The product is a gift bag with, let's say it contains 4 items. For each item the customer can choose a color.
What I need in is four dropdown boxes where you can choose a different color in each.

I manage to get 4 boxes where I can choose colors but what happens is this message:
"Availability: The product does not exist in this model. Please choose another."

What I'm I doing wrong?
