Add Image Screen Has No Means Of Adding Images

When I go to Products/images I see :

and that's all, no means of selecting an image or of uploading it, no buttons, nothing.

 

I have had severe permissions problems, and nearly everything is now 777, it does not help.

 

Anyone else on a Pair virtual server ?

 

Help... I'm close to ditching PS after three days hard labour.
