idoityourself
Hi I'm just looking at my checkout and I have the option of quick checkout and creating an account. What are the benefits of having people create accounts opposed to just checking out? Thanks
FME_Modules
You will have email id and some other details if that person registers. It will be stored in your backend as member of your website. And you can send reviews about latest products to your members. Its legal
idoityourself
Thanks is it just product reviews that are legal not emails in general? What are the other details that I get from a registered user?
FME_Modules
You cannot rent or share those emails with others. However you can send newsletter of your store updating about new product. Or saying that new product is coming soon describing some features to check the response of the customers. This will help you to increase number of returning customers and weather to keep or develop that product or not. You can email them anything related to your store but do not forget to mention the link in the email for unsubscribe from receiving emails from your store. idoityourself
I didnt think you could send anyone emails unless they checked the subscribe to newsletter box?
FME_Modules
There are some big store and website which have added this thing in terms and conditions while registering for the website. You can add some like "By registering you will subscribed to weekly / daily newsletter. However One Can Unsubcribe latter " And there is another practice of adding a box in the registration forum to allow users to subscribe for newsletter by simple click on check box along with the statement. It depends how you wanna run you store but doing any of above things don't hurt the reputation unless the quality and intereting stuff is being emailed to them. idoityourself
Ok so at the moment I have a box people check if they want the newsletter but that option comes up on both the quick checkout and the creating an account option. I just think some people get turned off by the extra process of setting a password, I know I do. Im just trying to make sure that not some benefit Im not aware of before I take the create account option out and just go with the quick checkout.
